If you want to declutter your home, you should stop purchasing anything first. Then go through all your stuff and keep those you need. The rest can put into a box and after 3 months, if you never take it out, high chance that you don't need it at all. You may sell, give away or throw.
Not having the stuff in the first place allows you to feel more relax and the extra space give you more freedom (able to let go) and detach yourself from it. You should keep the stuff that brings you joy. By surrounding yourself with stuff that brings you joy, every little thing brings a smile on your face. This is the start of being content with what you have.
Your mind can be cluttered too. Start to declutter physically. Then slowly declutter your mind. It works.
